HE Knew You Before He Formed You in the Womb
It has been some time since I have had anything to write. Frankly I at times feel like it is not in God’s plan for me to write at all. I get to a point where I feel it is so obvious that I am not trained in the methods of good, meaningful writing about the Gospel and I should stop because it is just not my purpose in this life. I am relatively sure that all people reach points in time where they feel pretty much useless. I know I can get to a point at times where I feel I am more of a void in time, unnoticed and my being is some sort of an accident.
Thank God for His Word because if you read and study it you find all of us, me included, have a purpose of being here. In the book of Jeremiah 1:5, He tells us “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” BOOM! Not just before we were born, but before we were even conceived, God knew us (me) and not only knew you, He had been set us apart for a purpose in this life. We all are here for a reason (purpose). Not just multiply, work, play, or parent but to be disciples for the Lord. It is not just the pastors of this world responsibility to spread the Word, but all of us. We cannot be ashamed or bashful about being followers of Jesus Christ, but BOLD because He will give us the ability to use the correct words with the help of His Holy Spirit. That my friend is all the education and training you will ever need. Put all your hope and trust in our Heavenly Father; His is always faithful.
Every morning I thank Him for the new breath, new life and new opportunities He will put before me to bring praise and glory to His Name. Lamentations 3:23-24 is my guide: They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” So when you are in a funk and feeling empty and useless, be patient and just wait. God is always faithful. If you have the desire, He will see that your purpose in life is fulfilled.
